This time though, her topic is different. These days she is gripped by the FIFA World Cup. The football fever has taken many into its stride and Sherlyn is no exception.

Sherlyn is astounded by Argentinean star player Lionel Messi to the level of terming him ‘the best footballer in the world’ presently. ‘I have a crush on Messi’ is what she tweeted. It is difficult to predict how long the crush can last. 

SRK Losing His Weight

Responsibilities and work load takes the toll of even the best in the business. The same has been observed about the King of Bollywood – Shah Rukh Khan. His another home production Ra One is in full swing. He is the producer as well as the actor. Both of these things have taken their toll on him.

He has lost weight and looks thin. He needs to wear the prosthetic make-up on. He has to remain so for about 8-10 hours at a stretch. If the make-up is taken off, it needs hours to get it back in shape again. This causes a break on eating and drinking too. What a pity!

‘Dear Friend Hitler’ is an ambitious project on the life of Adolf Hitler. The film shows the life of the German dictator who had given his contribution for India’s independence cause. Seasoned Bollywood actor Anupam Kher was supposed to play the role of Hitler. However, if reports are to be believed, Mr. Kher has decided to walk out of the film.

The messages posted on various social networking sites have prompted Anupam Kher to change things and mind. ‘Respect my fans’ opinion’ is what Kher put forth the reason. According to Anupam, it was a challenging role. Let’s see who the director ropes in now.

Manisha Ties The Knot

Manisha Koirala, the Nepalese beauty finally kited the nuptial knot with her beau Samrat Dahal. Manisha is 41 while Samrat is 34. They exchanged the marital vows in Kathmandu, Nepal in a private ceremony. The private ceremony was attended only by the close friends, relatives and the family members. Apart from them Govinda’s wife was also present.

Manisha was dressed in a yellow sari. Priests kept reciting the Vedic chants as both exchanged the wedding rings. The marriage took place with completely Nepalese tradition with Nepalese music Panchai Bazaa followed by a cultural dance. Manisha plans to continue to live in Nepal and will do mostly Nepalese films.

Gustavo Santaolalla is a double Oscar winning music director who has got the coveted award for his score for ‘Brokeback Mountain’ and ‘Babel’. Well, what has he got to do here? The news is that Kiran Rao – Aamir Khan’s wife is turning a director. She will be directing her first film ‘Dhobi Ghaat’.

To get everything perfect, like her husband, she wanted a ‘perfect’ music director. Who else could she find other than Gustavo Santaolalla, who has got two Oscars? Kiran was successful in persuading Gustavo to do the job for her.

These two would be husband-wife are seeing each other for the past twelve months now. It was an astrologer who fixed their marriage. The marriage to Dahal means the attractive looking actress will be third time in a relationship. The prior two engagements were non- engagements for some reasons. Hope it is third time lucky for Manisha.

Review of ‘Robin Hood’

There is no need to explain whom Robin Hood is or what he used to do in his lifetime. The great archer serves in the army of Richard Coeur de Lion. There is everything ‘great’ in this movie. Actors like Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett are great so are the visuals.

However, the world knows who Robin Hood is. Even though, the story is predictable up to that extent, the director Ridley Scott has managed to keep those historical times alive. Overall, not so bad a film keeping in mind the nature of the world famous story of Robin Hood.

Review of ‘Karate Kid’

As the evergreen film – any version of a James Bond movie is always the best, so is ‘Karate Kid’. This one is yet another version of the 1984 film. However, there has been a good visual difference in both the versions of these two films. Dre – Jaden Smith is a real life kid.

Christopher Murphey, has written a stunning script that does not veer off the original ‘Karate Kid’. There has been enough of efforts been made to keep the essence of the original movie intact. A kung-fu master, who lives at the back of Dre’s apartment, comes to rescue him from the beating of Cheng (Zhenwei Wang) and starts his training to face any further eventuality.

The much-talked about and much waited film ‘Raavan’ is releasing on Friday June 18. Even a couple of days to go for the release of the film, and the leading pair of the film was in England. Abhishek and Aishwarya both were in England for the promotion of the film.

However, critics still feel that there is not enough promo going for the film. Something more still could have been done. However, that is not going to pin down the film. The first family of Bollywood and the Indian Mozart – A R Rehman to score the music, much is expected from the film.

Amir Avoids SRK

The rivalry between two successful personalities from the same field is likely to exist on more than one occasion. The Karan Johar and Ram Gopal Verma verbal fight is well known. However, the more high profile fight is between Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan and the King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan.

‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’ is the upcoming flick for Prachi Desai. The film in which Emraan Hashmi is her opposite, Prachi says she is comfortable with her co-star. Both Prachi and Emraan play a Muslim couple – Shoaib and Mumtaaz.

According to Prachi, she was not reluctant but hesitant before signing the film. The reason might be best known to Prachi, but Prachi has to wear some bold outfits in the film. She was not initially ready for the same. However, the director of the film, Milan Luthria, ultimately managed to win Prachi’s affirmative. Now, let us await the film when all is going well.

Boman Is Optimistic

Not all is over if a certain thing does not go well. There is optimism, that is why the world functions well. Among the optimists is Boman Irani. The southern film fraternity, which had boycotted the IIFA awards in Colombo, Boman was referring to this one. Due to the boycott call, even the brand ambassador of IIFA, Amitabh Bachchan too was missing.

According to Boman, the boycott hurdle would soon be overtaken and things would return to normal. However, Boman was careful not to get involved into controversies and refused to say why there were lesser actors this time at the IIFA function.

Shahid Kapoor thinks the performance of his father has left him completely stunned. Shahid was referring to his father – Pankaj Kapoor’s  performance in ‘Happi’. Shahid had posted this message on his Twitter page saying that he had seen some of the footages of his father’s next film ‘Happi’.

The film ‘Happi’ is the flick directed by Bhavana Talwar. The director had also cast the actor in her debut film ‘Dharam’. The Sr. Kapoor is also stepping into the director’s shoes now. Shahid is, no doubt, a part of the film ‘Mausum’. Shahid is shooting in England along with Sonam Kapoor.

A Run of Sequels

These days there is no dearth of sequels. There have been sequels of famous films and still there are a lot of them in the pipeline. Films like ‘Golmaal’ and ‘Dhoom’ already had successful sequels. Some of the films had been named in the series like ‘1’ and ‘2’ etc.

Now, the heartthrob of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan is going to be a part of this sequel trend. Hrithik is likely to be a part of ‘Dhoom 3’. The home production ‘Krrish’ too is expected to have a sequel in the coming months. The work of the script writing has begun.

The IIFA awards might have ended ages ago – even yesterday is too old in Bollywood, but the pictures of the leading Indian ladies are not out of sight still. Two of the most beautiful faces in Bollywood, Bipasha and Kareena, both were wearing an Indian outfit – both were in saris.

On her arrival, Bipasha said that she wanted to don an Indian outfit and that she has had a lot of western dressing. Bips really looked hot in her orange-colored sari. Kareena, of course, was with Saif Ali Khan. The red blouse with a green sari was an attraction of the crowd as soon as she stepped out of her car. Heartening to see, these actresses wearing Indian clothing during overseas tours.
