The Changing ‘Raajneeti’

‘Raajneeti’ has scored many a point over its rivals ‘Kites’ and another high profile release ‘Housefull’. Both ‘Kites’ and ‘Housefull’ had well known film personalities. However, ‘Raajneeti’ proved to be one of its kinds. Though ‘Kites’ opened in around a couple of hundred theaters, ‘Raajneeti’ had opening in round only 125 theaters.

Still ‘Raajneeti’ had its say over ‘Kites’. ‘Raajneeti’ had a gross collection of around INR 105 million on the very first day. ‘Raajneeti’ proved to be a face-changing movie in the US especially a political one. The reason being, political flicks were receiving cold responses over a period in the States. A collection of around $9, 15,000 in three days is its proof.
